Clean and Renewable Energy Department

As the demand for energy continues unabated, the need for clean, resource efficient energy grows. Continued expansion of the industrial, transportation, and tourism sectors warrants effective planning in order to meet the demand for efficient energy production.

By assisting public and private sector economic operators to identify energy needs, monitor energy consumption and choose clean energy and resource efficient solutions to energy demand problems. The renewable energy department will promote clean renewable energies; minimize pollution from non-renewable energy resources and advance energy conservation and efficiency.

The renewable energy department may engage in some of the following activities in pursuit of its mission:

  • Energy audits and control
  • On-site demonstration for renewable energy production and use
  • Energy conservation research
  • Alternative energy technologies and resources
  • Energy management techniques
